Making a ComeBack

I feel as though I have let my readers down. I apologize to everyone! As of this day...I am going to make a comeback. It may not be so much about what I started out blogging about and then again...I may find a way to blog about the same kinda things. I truly love the country live and there is one thing for sure... You can take the girl out of the country, But you can never take the country out of the girl. Yes, I still live in the country and I am clueless as to what tomorrow will bring. I am leaning on the arms of Jesus and I know that He will not fail me. Thank you all for being so dedicated and so absolutely WONDERFUL!

Getting into the Biz

Thanks to Roman May

I didn’t know a thing about houses when I first got into real estate. I started thinking about it and for the longest time I was just spinning my wheels at the desk job I had (and hated) and I knew I wanted something more flexible. I think about it every day and now I’m so glad I took the leap. I signed up for my real estate licensing class which wasn’t too bad and once I got my license I felt better prepared to practice. I had a friend, thankfully, that worked at an agency in town and he got me hired on part time – it was really the perfect way to learn the business and find out what area I wanted to be in. Now I specialize in finding first time home buyers their perfect place – it’s nice to feel like I’m helping someone on a daily basis. I certainly didn’t feel like that when I was sitting around looking at spreadsheets all day! Now I get to answer questions about school districts and www.ElectricCompaniesTexas.net and whether or not the four-lane highway being built will impact noise levels, you know, stuff homeowners worry about. I love feeling like I’m the point of contact for someone on one of the most important decisions of their life and I know my clients tell me I’ve been a big help. It’s not like I’m a therapist or anything but I do really relish the times I feel like I’m helping people realize a dream. And I also love that in real estate I get to set my own hours and generally be my own boss. It’s nice not to be stuck in a cubicle all day and I really wish I had taken this on a long time ago. I spent too many years doing a job I hated and only making half the money I make now – real estate is the business to be in if you have a personality like mine!

Days Gone Bye...

Some of you know and some of you don't know.  Now all of you will know.  Divorce is inevitable...And...I will be glad when it's all said and done.
Now that those days are gone I can clean up the mess and carry on.  I am counting it ALL joy!

Sciatica

 What is Sciatica?

Sciatica is a condition where the sciatic nerve has become compressed by another underlying spinal condition. Sciatica is a condition that will only affect the lower back, with symptoms being felt through the buttocks, down the legs, and into the feet.
I borrowed this from http://www.orthopedicandlaserspinesurgery.com

I have this right now.  It is extremely painful.  I am going to the Chiropractor twice a week.  It was better right before New Year and I actually missed an appointment and it got worse.  Worse than when I started going to the Chiropractor.  Don't give up because it will get better!

Coming to an end

I forget the number of times that I heard this year that the world is coming to an end.  There were just so darn many that I couldn't keep up with them all.  And besides being able to keep up with them all, I didn't believe a single one of them.  There is one thing for sure though, the end is coming.  The end of the world is coming and Matthew 24:36 says..."No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father."  Now that is where I put my belief and my trust.
With that said...
This year is coming to an end!  I don't know how you feel about this year coming to an end but I happen to be elated.  This has been one of the worst if not the worst year of my life.  I'm not kidding.  So much has happened in such a very short time.  Anyway...4 more days and it's coming to an end!

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Tis the Season

As we all approach the end of the year, we realize that Christmas is upon us. I am in the middle of painting and replacing carpet with tile. Why oh why am I doing this in the middle of "Tis the Season"?! For me it's always "Tis the Season". So hopefully I will be updating more often and you can see what I'm up to. Or, you could always check my facebook page too.

Moving a Lot

Thanks for the guest post by Jo Levy

I’ve always been moving here and there and it’s really hard for me to put down roots but now that I’m here in Texas I sure hope I get to stay. I’m a consultant so my job is what’s got me constantly moving around the country and when I’m not actually moving my home I’m staying in hotels all the time. It’s really hard for me to maintain any functional relationships like this and also I’d like to get a dog, too, but I guess that’s not happening anytime soon. My new house is SO cute and it just breaks my heart every time I have to pack a bag and leave it for a week at a time. When I am home I’ve been trying to work on the décor inside and make sure I’m saving as much money as I can with things like Reliant Energy info for Rusk Texas since I’m not home a lot to use the AC. I’ve met one of my neighbors and they seem really, really nice – they’ve even offered to get my plants for me while I’m gone so they won’t die! I don’t know, this consulting thing is nice because I make a lot of money but at the same time it’s like how long can I keep on living this way without going crazy? I can’t exactly live like a nomad for the rest of my life so I think it’s time for me to figure out what I want to do this time next year and work towards that goal. Who would have thought I’d end up at this crossroads at such a young age, or with so much money in the bank? I think it’s time I manned up and decided what is most important to me in life since I’ve got the money and that doesn’t seem to be making me happy, you know?

My first pair of Ariat boots

I was gathering for boots.  I had a list of some that I wanted and I finally had to break down and get a pair.  The colder weather came before I could gather enough points to get them.  So....I am now the proud owner of this boot...
Ariat Terrain Waterproof
Ariat Waterproof Paddock Boots.  I love them too!
My first day in them, I thought that I would take them back and get a refund.  I said "no, I will wait at least one more day".  I am certainly glad that I did.  I generally wear tennis shoes but...they really aren't "barn" savvy.  I also needed some arch support because I have planters factitious and I have to wear inserts in my shoes.  But...so far, I haven't had to put any inserts in these boots.
Have I mentioned that I love them?!
