WWKIP Day

Somehow a few weeks back I managed to come across a World Wide Knit in Public Day website.  Well needless to say...I was all over it.  I started making flyers and getting them posted and getting our little group all psyched up about it.  And...then...it happened!  WWKiP Day happened and my little group gathered and we celebrated with others around the world and we knitted in public.  Ok - we really knit in public every chance we get but there was a sense of something.  Maybe it was a sense of other knitters.  Maybe we could secretly hear the knitting needles singing as we all knitted together.

Well guess what?  WWKiP doesn't officially end until Sunday.  Ha!  Just another day to celebrate another day of knitting.  I'm lovin it!  We will be gathered again at our local library this Friday.  Wow - that's tomorrow, June 15th.  We will join others around the world to Knit In Public.

If you can't find a meet up scheduled in your area, just grab your yarn, needles, patterns and head off to a local coffee shop, library, park bench, cafe, big oak tree or where ever suits your fancy.  Join us all around the world for WWKiP Day.

Made in the USA

My husband seeks out tools that are made in the USA and he will pay a pretty penny for them.  He isn't the only one that enjoys buying things that are made in the USA.  I was actually amazed to find that Red Heart yarns has some yarn that is made right here at home.  And not just some yarn but 19 yarns that are manufactured in the USA.  How stinkin awesome is that?!
I'm going out on a limb here because I am going to copy and paste from the website.  If I get sued, well...I guess I just get sued.  I don't make any money off of it so...here goes...

I Love Yarn Day

Simply amazing! Yes, you read it right...I Love Yarn Day. Who woulda thunkit!
And before I get side tracked and forget what I was talking about...October 14th is the official "I Love Yarn Day". How utterly cool is that!

Today, I've been

Busy.
Yeah, that's a good word for today.
I did a little school with my youngest. I did a little sewing. I started making some tarn (t-shirt yarn). It's kinda my first. It isn't difficult at all. Just time consuming and it makes my thumb hurt. Guess I'm gonna need a rotary cutter. A little laundry, cooked supper, let the dog in, let the dog out, let the dog in again, let the dog out again. Yes, we do that - a lot.
Now that it's close to midnight, I think I'll call it a day.
