Came to my Senses

Did I get burned out? I'm not really sure. I really just wanted to put the kids in public school, saddle my horse and ride off into the sunset. I'm not kidding!

Then I came to my senses and cried. I cried because I didn't no way, no how, not happening - I refuse to ever send them to public school.

Maybe the kids came to their senses and I cried because they did. HaHaHa
I like that better!

Hi There...I came to your Blog by Accident through Mary Janes Farm...Im very new to all this and I have never even read a blog before. I have always been a Farmgirl at heart and since dreams really do come true now Im a bonified Farmgirl with a Farm of our own.I am a bit overwhelmed at all that needs to be done...and on top of all of this my honey and I are in agreement to Home school our 2 youngest...Ruger is 2 and Abraham is 8 months...Is it ever to early to start.Do you have any suggestions for a first timer.I have two much older children who have gone to public and private schools.

I know the feeling! My daughter it turns out is more independent that I was expecting so now we just let her go and check her work as needed.

Thanks for this last post. I am a teacher and I have small children and we're planning on starting homeschool in the next couple of years. I also love horses and we live in the country and some days I just want to hurry up and send them to school so I can ride, ride, ride but then I 'come to my senses' and realize that no way, no how can I do that to them or to me. Thanks for admitting to the desire that lies dormant for many homeschool moms.

Oh my lovely I know just how that feels. Now I am wondering why I never got the feed for this post when you wrote it? I was just thinking about how many people follow my other blog and suddenly thought of you as my first blog and thought OMG I have not been here or heard from you for ages. I hope you are doing well and things are better for you? Sometimes life gets us so wrapped up that the normal every day stuff can seem like a mountain hey? Now I am off to see if one can "follow" a blog one supposedly writes for. (I have been pretty hopeless on both blogs i tell you but am knitting up a storm if that counts) Hope you and the boys are doing well, what ever you decided. Hugs and smoochies, many blessings to you. xoxox

Homeschooling is tough and at times my wife and I want to quit, but in the end it is definitely worth it. Keep it up!
