A Simplier Way of Life

All we really want is A Simplier Way of Life.

A place to sit on the front porch in the morning and watch mother nature wake up. A place to raise children where the children are still taught to say "Yes Mam and Yes Sir" and "Thank you" and "Please". To raise a few cows, chickens, pigs and such. To grow a garden and can the products from our garden. To sit by the fire place on cold days and read to each other and laugh at silly things that have happened or that will happen. To relax and get away from the hustle and bustle.

Have you ever dreamed of this life style? Have you ever lived this life style? I have lived it and now I dream of having it again. I grew up on a farm and I loved every minute of it.

The world we live in today is really getting out of hand. People have no respect for anyone or anything. I see it and live it everyday. The faster I can get away from it - the better.

We leave Sunday 08-27-06 to go and look for a simplier way of life. We have several places all picked out to visit. We have a couple of pieces of property to look at. Then we have to make the decision as to when - not if - but when. We are all buzzing around with excitement!

As some of you may already know. We are in the process of adopting our first child. I use the term "child" very carefully, because now the term we use is "children". A dozen? We do know that we want to adopt more than one child, but we are not sure about a dozen - who knows what will happen on the how many. In good time it will all work out.

As for being on the simple side - we want to incorporate some type of alternative power. Maybe be what is called "off the grid". We may start with the barn on an alternative power, then incorporate it to more areas of our lives.

Lots of changes from our daily life now. Lots to do - find new place - sell everything we can, furniture and so on - sell house in Florida, and so on and so on...

Big day today

Today the realtor met with us! We really are moving! I am surprised that we will actually be able to list our place for more than what we thought. Now that is exciting news.
We have to start painting and sprucing up the place a little bit. 11 more days and we are off on vacation to look at property to buy. We really are gonna do it! And I am still checking on work at home jobs. Now - wouldn't that be wonderful.

Of course I am not able to write here every day. Maybe I should have said at least once a month and then the goal wourl have been alot more achieveable. Someday I would like to sit and just put everything right down here. I mean all the research that I am doing and such. For my more private things, I have created a journal.

I know that Country Living is just around the corner and that is what gets me through another long day.
Speaking of getting through another long day.

I finally did it!

I finally did it!
I am creating my very first blog. I waited and waited til I saw what was going to happen with the blog world. Funny how trends work. I wonder how long the blog trend will last?
I am sitting here at 2 in the morning because I can't sleep. Thousands of thoughts running through my head. If only it were sheep, I could sleep.
I am in search of my "Niche" or "Forte", whatever you call it. In all reality I am a "Jack of all trades and master of none". How does one find their Niche/Forte with my qualifications. Guess my brain just hasn't figured it all out yet.
The name of my blog reflects what I love and what we are about to do. We? My family - my husband and I with all our critters. We are in search of relocating and getting back to country living, just as when we both grew up and how we remember the good life.
I am really excited about getting back to country living with less hustle and bustle.
I would love to update this daily. I know that ain't gonna happen! Not with my work schedule. But hopefully, I will be able to update a couple times a week, especially as things progress toward getting back the country.

ps - I am also working on getting some of crafts into a couple of shops and hopefully sell some of them.
