Easy Sugar Cookies

Sugar Cookie Cutouts

1 pkg. (8 oz.) Cream Cheese, softened
3/4 cup (1-1/2 sticks) butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
2-1/4 cups flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
4 rolls ring-shaped hard candies (44 candies), crushed
PREHEAT oven to 350°F. Beat cream cheese, butter, sugar and vanilla in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended.
Add flour and baking soda; mix well.
Cover. Refrigerate 30 min.
ROLL dough to 1/8-inch thickness on lightly floured surface.
Cut into assorted shapes, using 3-inch cookie cutters.
Place on greased baking sheets.
BAKE 10 to 12 min. or until edges begin to brown.
Transfer to wire racks; immediately press about 1/2 tsp. of the crushed candies into top of each hot cookie.
Cool completely.
How to Crush Ring-Shaped Hard CandiesSeparate candies by color. Place one color in resealable plastic bag and crush using rolling pin or meat mallet. Repeat with remaining colors.
